I had the pleasure to have a talk with Neal Bruce about his return to OTB chess after a 4 year pause from tournament chess. Neal has posted a long thread about the tournament on Twitter which was a good reference point for our talk.

1/24 This thread is about my observations from playing in the <1800 section of the New England Open last weekend. This was my first OTB tourney in 4 years. 😲 I rating going into the tourney was a dusty 1738. I will also answer questions along the way. 😁 #chesspunks
