Iβm nearing 10,000 chess books sold! I guess you maybe have bought one or more of them since you signed up for my newsletter, so thank you! If you have just arrived you can find my books on Amazon.
My book sales on Amazon have started to decline slightly in the last 3 months. The main reasons in my view are:
I have not published a book since March, since I have been more focused on writing on Substack.
Amazon has increased its paper price on large format books, which forced me to raise the prices slightly.
Are people going digital?
Over the summer I have thought about some ideas for smaller puzzle books that I want to make. I still want to make the βFrom Beginner to 2000 on Chess.comβ-book, but it will be a longer-term project.
I would like to get your feedback on which book I should make since it is a lot more fun to make a puzzle book people want to solve.
A sequel to β100 Headachingly Hard Mate in Two Chess Puzzles Composed by Sam Loydβ with a selection of a really hard mate in two problems from multiple composers.
A book with pawn endgame studies everyone needs to know. Pawn endgames are great practice for your visualization and can win you many points. I would hopefully also learn a bit in the process.
A brilliant moves collection. I would go through the games of x-player and select the brilliant moves and make them into puzzles and annotate the solutions. Iβm thinking it could be games from either: Gukesh, Firouzja, Carlsen, or Nakamura.
Let me know which idea you are most excited about.
If you have any feedback please leave a comment.

Terrific! Sign me up!
In addition to how I voted (pawn endgame), I'd love to see another edition of Tactics Ladder (well, actually, specifically one edition: I have the ones for 1000 and 1400, and I think the one for 1200 would hit my sweet spot of exactly what I need right now!).
