As mentioned in my last chat message I’m working on a chess training tracker. That hopefully will become a helpful tool for chess improvers. One idea that came up in chat by MatthewKCanada was tracking relative perceived exertion (RPE), which means how hard an activity has been.
To give you an idea of how we’ll use this, the RPE scale runs from 0-10, with 0 being no effort and 10 being maximum exertion.
Here’s where you come in! I’m curious to see how chess players would rate various training forms on this scale, so I’ve created a quick poll for you to participate in. Just rate each type of training as you feel it compares to the others in terms of difficulty during an average session.
Note: The scale ranges from 0-10, and you can adjust the slider at the bottom of the poll to access the higher end of the scale.
I understand that each training session can vary in difficulty depending on your mindset and approach, but try to think of the average experience when rating the categories.
Thanks in advance for participating and helping to shape this tool! The results of the poll will hopefully be implemented in the tracking tool.

This is a great idea, at least for me, since my training tends to be unstable and inconsistent.
Love the idea. Would be amazing if people could log their hrv daily and you could correlate change in hrv with previous training stimulus
