In the last 4 years, I have written +300 newsletters and published 19 chess books. It has been a very intense and productive period, but it is also becoming harder to keep pushing every week. Something I have been reflecting on lately.
I read Cal Newport’s book Slow Productivity some time ago, which resonated with me.

I like these values, and I must admit that it most likely is not sustainable for me to keep publishing a weekly newsletter. I want to focus on publishing my chess book ideas and do them well.
So, instead of publishing every week, I will take time off the grid to work on interesting projects (..and maybe also invest some time improving at chess). When I have something interesting to share, I will do so.
This might not happen every week. However, I will aim to deliver a higher-quality product when I send you something.
If you are a paid subscriber to this newsletter, first of all, thank you for supporting me and my family.
I can’t fully express how much your financial support has meant to me. Moving forward, I’ll keep sending you PDF editions of my books as a thank-you for your support.
I'm now taking some dedicated time to write the book on the checkmate patterns I've discussed in my recent newsletters
