Hi, As you might know, I have launched The Chess Gym together with FM Nate Solon. We have been having weekly meetings for a while about the project and decided to test the idea of making a bi-weekly podcast with updates about the community and answering chess improvement questions. In the first episode, we talk about the following:
I have been using www.playgrandmastes.com for solitaire chess, which I like. The gameified element as that it gives you a rating. It has a large library of games to choose from.
My suggestion for the easier puzzle is perhaps you alternate days of the week. Like Monday Wednesday and Friday is the intermediate level easier puzzle and on Tuesday and Thursday you have one even easier for those around <1000. I think that would solve the issue for the community as a whole. Intermediates (like myself) and newer players can flex their muscles on harder or easier puzzles. I still do both puzzles each day just since they are there. I do not think you need to have 3 puzzles a day. That is my though process on that issue.
