I strive for simplicity in my chess books, avoiding unnecessary text that distractions from the diagrams. I applied this approach to The Tactics Ladder, perhaps too strictly! I removed page numbers and the index, assuming the introduction and diagram numbers would suffice. However, I realize now not everyone reads introductions.
In the introduction, I write that the book is divided into two chapters with 250 puzzles in each.
To help future readers and to avoid more lukewarm reviews I have added a table of contents to the first page of the Book. Because I’m pretty sure they would have given the book more stars had they found the solution page.
I pushed it too far with minimalism, but I've learned from it and added an index to all 10 books.
If you have purchased The Tactics Ladder, please consider leaving an Amazon review – it helps a lot (if you have found the solutions)! I would like to mention that I’m working on making the books available as eBooks, so they should arrive this or next week.
The Chess Gym
I have also worked on some cool projects for The Chess Gym. We have invited some exciting speakers to teach guest lessons on various subjects. This Sunday GM Ramesh will join us to talk about common calculation mistakes!

What you are describing is a Contents page, not an Index.
