Newsletter from Say Chess - Giveaway, Climbing the Ladder, and Coaching - Issue #4
Hi!
I just want to give you a short update.
I have made good progress on writing the solutions for the 100 puzzles. 70 puzzles done ✅
Still 30 to go, but looking forward to sharing it with you and the others following the newsletter. I could use some beta testers who would be interested in solving packages of 10 puzzles and writing their feedback to me. I think this will add value to the final result. If you are interested in helping out please send an email to saychess1@gmail.com. It would be great if you added a little chess bio, so I get testers from the whole rating range.
To spread the word about ‘Blindfold Opening Visualization’ I have made a little giveaway. I will give 2 paperbacks of my first book to two winners who retweet the tweet below. If you want to help me out and/or win the paperback edition then just help with a retweet, thanks 🙏🏻
Let’s try something :) I will give away two paperback-books of ‘Blindfold Endgame Visualization’ to anyone in range of a Amazon store who: retweet and follows my newsletter within the next 72 hours 📬

You will also get my next book as a pdf for free* 🥳
Climbing the Ladder
Since last update I have also made another YouTube-video, that you might want to check out. Tested out the Petroff, and I think it went pretty good!
Rapid Speedrun - Game 2 (1700) - Take backs and a nice finish!
Coaching
To keep improving as a chess player I have started taking lessons from IM Attila Turzo, who himself have started chasing the GM title. He will soon be on the Perpetual Podcast. After the first lesson we agreed upon that I should focus on playing weekly longer games. Since it sometimes can be a challenge for me to organise games and find opponents significantly stronger then me to play against I have decided to play some 60+30 games against the computer. To make it a little more fun I have installed the old classic Chessmaster 10th edition on my pc.
Entered a strong round-robin tournament 😄
Time control: 60+30
Rating: 2000-2300 https://t.co/tPaaj7qyda
I will try to treat it as a real tournament, setup a real board, and analyse the games. We will see if it’s a success in 7 games!
Best,
Martin
