Blindfold Opening Visualization *PREORDER* - The Say Chess Newsletter
Martin B. Justesen
Hi,
I hope you are doing well! It is about a year since I published my first chess book ‘Blindfold Opening Visualization’ on Amazon. It has been a fun year, where I also managed to make ‘100 Headachingly Hard Mate in Two Puzzles’ and edit a new edition of Capablanca’s classic ‘Chess Fundamentals’.
It wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support from the Twitter Chess community and the readers of this newsletter. So thank you! The support kept me going when the hours were late and the editing got boring, and now I’m close to publishing the sequel in my series on blindfold chess.
You can now preorder ‘Blindfold Opening Visualization’ for only 2.99$ on Kindle. It is scheduled to be published on 27th December.
The book contains 100 blindfold opening puzzles. You have to visualize between 4 to 10 moves and find the best move. Not all positions are tactics, since I have included puzzles were you have to avoid a common opening mistake as well.
I have used the lichess puzzle database as the foundation and cross referenced it with the opening database to see how often the opening tactics occur in online games. This also gave me the opportunity to see how often the best move was found.
I will publish a paperback version most likely in January.
/Martin
I have tweaked the cover a bit so it matches Blindfold Endgame Visualization
