I just published the first two volumes of The Tactics Ladder! It has been a project that I have worked on since last spring where I got the idea. It is special to publish a series of puzzles selected by specific criteria set up by me and based on data (user-ratings and themes), but not to have worked through them several times as I have done with my other books. However, I’m impressed by the puzzles I have looked at while setting up the book, so I’m confident that the selection method brings forth interesting puzzles.
I plan to start woodpecking on the two first books as soon as I get them from Germany. So if you want to join me and test The Tactics Ladder it is now available here:

The digital version does cost almost the same as the paperback. The reason for this is that the 1000 diagrams used are pictures adding to a large file size. This cost a bit extra to distribute, but how many chess books have color (only digital version)!
